Holy Island, the tidal island, also known as Lindisfarne, is located off the coast of Northumberland, with the nearest town to Holy Island being Seahouses.  The island has a rich history and is a lovely place for an escape.  It’s even better to stay overnight and explore the island once the tide rolls in and cuts you off from the mainland.   There’s a limited supply of places to stay on Holy Island, so you’ll need to pick your favourite early and book it to ensure you get it!

The cottage has a great view of the village green, where Queen Elizabeth planted a tree in 1958. There are shops and the village pub nearby, plenty of beaches around the island and, of course, the castle. The cottage boasts of an inviting lounge, washing machine, Smart TV, log burner, modern kitchen with an electric oven and hob, separate fridge and freezer, and dishwasher.
